Starting at the young age of four, Ian Jang has developed into a cellist renowned for his exceptional talent and mastery over the instrument. He showcases his virtuosity worldwide, performing both as a soloist and as a leading member in distinguished groups such as the Singapore National Youth Orchestra, the United Nations Orchestra, and the Geneva Conservatory. Ian's track record is remarkable, achieving top honors at prestigious competitions and enchanting audiences with his performances. His artistry goes beyond mere technical skill; he deeply engages with music through his participation in chamber music and community engagement. Additionally, Ian explores the intersection of music and technology by directing and producing his own virtual concerts, demonstrating his versatile talent.
Currently, Ian is flourishing as a Senior at St. Paul's School, a prestigious boarding school in the United States, where he balances his academic studies with advanced musical training at the New England Conservatory. As a recipient of the Swiss Burkhalter Foundation Scholarship, Ian's prospects are exceptionally promising, emerging as a leading figure in the world of classical music, destined to captivate global audiences for many years to come.
